Mary Halsig is starting her 10th year as director of the Air Capital Chorus. She has been directing choral groups since 1975 and has taught vocal music in the Wichita Public Schools since 2009 with her middle school choirs and soloists receiving top ratings at festivals and competitions. Mary is active in music education as the Middle School Choir Chair on the board of the South-Central Kansas Music Educators Association. Mary has presented at numerous music education workshops including the 2014 National Music Educator’s Conference in Nashville. Mary is an all–around vocal coach and director and an avid barbershop singer. She currently sings lead in Cantina Vocal Project, a Region 25 Sweet Adelines quartet, as well as Guys and Dolls, a mixed quartet. She is also a member of the Wichita Chorus Sweet Adeline. Mary has two daughters and two sons-in-law, Charlotte and Matt and Shauna and Dan. She has three singing grand kids, Michael, Joshua, and Alexandra.
